Baruch HaShem AcademyHome School Co-op The Baruch HaShem Academy (BHSA) Co-op, a Messianic Jewish Home School program, is a ministry administered and supported by Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue in Dallas, Texas. The BHSA Co-op offers Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue families and the DFW Messianic community an opportunity to participate in academically enriching programs in a contextually Messianic environment. The BHSA Co-op serves students in grades K-12 by offering various activities including, but not limited to: enrichment programs and classes; field trips; discount opportunities available to home educators and a Home school gradation program. The program is designed to supplement the family’s home school experience and provide community/fellowship opportunities for students and parents. Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue and the Co-op are committed to maintaining a contextually Messianic Jewish environment. Therefore, all programs (including classes) will be presented in that context. Due to that commitment certain textbook material may require adjustment. In keeping with this commitment we ask that each family observe Biblical Kashrut when preparing their child’s lunch. Enrollment in Enrichment Courses requires completion of the BHSA Co-op Family Application and Course Registration forms. Families/students who are not members of Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue will need two letters of character reference and will be required to attend a family interview with the Co-op Director. Families participating in the Enrichment Courses are responsible for paying the course tuition and purchasing the required materials for each course. While grades will be given by the teacher, parents are responsible for maintaining their child’s transcript. Grades will be based on attendance, participation, test scores and satisfactory completion of course material. Parents or a designated guardian will be required to remain on site while their student(s) participate in the program. The BHSA Co-op is a cooperative in which parents partner with each other to utilize their collective giftings and talents for the benefit of the children. Parent participation is and will be vital to the life and success of the program. Parents are asked to commit to an area of service within the program. The Co-op will always strive to provide a program that is spiritually edifying and academically relevant.
