The Parenting Class adult Shabbat School class begins 14 January 2006 and will end
6 May 2006. It is taught by Tom Bache-Wiig, who is trained at the graduate level in
Counseling Psychology.
Parenting Class Synopsis
Why does the idea of raising children, teens and young adults cause such anxiety? Because
we’ve been sold a bill-of-goods that doing so is a gamble, at best – and a foregone conclusion
of failure, at worst. Raising and influencing children to adulthood is among G-d’s highest
callings. We’ve given over our parenting “techniques” to flawed, secular methods – and don’t
even realize it!. Psychological terms like “self-esteem” and “self-actualization” are more
familiar than “sanctification.” Biblical methods of raising children have fallen to the
wayside… the results are everywhere – hence, the fear! Join Tom Bache-Wiig, who is
trained at the graduate level in Counseling Psychology, each Shabbat at 9:30 a.m., for a
refreshing and hopeful class for anyone raising and influencing children, teens
and young adults. It’s never too late!
You may purchase the needed book, “Shepherding a Child’s Heart” in the Baruch HaShem
Judaica shop.
Audio recordings of the adult Shabbat School classes are available through the Tape Ministry.
