Childcare Acknowledgment (Downloadable or complete below)

Shalom Parents,
We are pleased to be able to provide Childcare and/or Study Hall, free of charge, for your child while you are attending your Hebrew class. In order to ensure the safety of your child(ren) and provide a nurturing environment we ask that you and they adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Childcare is for children ages 0-8. Children or siblings of those enrolled in Hebrew School may participate in the childcare program during the Hebrew School hours. Parents must remain on the campus while their children are in Childcare. We will not tolerate any violation of this policy. With special permission of the Hebrew Department Director a parent may, on a rare occasion, assign written guardianship of their children to another adult participating in the Hebrew School. Please speak directly with the Hebrew Department Director regarding this procedure.
2. Study Hall is provided for children age 9 to Bar/Bat Mitzvah age. Children may work on their Hebrew class assignments or their schoolwork. The Study Hall teacher will be able to assist them with their Hebrew assignments. Children or siblings of those enrolled in Hebrew School may participate in the Study Hall during the Hebrew School hours. Parents must remain on the campus while their children are in the Study Hall. With special permission of the Hebrew Department Director a parent may, on a rare occasion, assign written guardianship of their children to another adult participating in the Hebrew School. Please speak directly with the Hebrew Department Director regarding this procedure.
3. You must register your children for either Childcare or Study Hall when you register for class.
4. It is very important that you promptly picked up your children from Childcare or Study Hall. We will not release children without their parent.
5. Please ensure that your child has had something to eat prior to placing them in our care. The two-hour class period can become very difficult for a hungry child.
Please remember that we do not allow children to roam the building or enter the Judaica Shop without parental supervision. We have developed these guidelines so that your child and our volunteers will have a successful semester. Thank you in advance for adhering to these guidelines.
