Yom HaShoah Call for Entry

All events will take place at Baruch HaShem, 6304 Belt Line Rd, Dallas TX 75254.

Dates and Schedules to Remember:

  • Entry and Statement Deadline: 1 week prior to the reception
  • Notification of Acceptance: Via email or text no later than 3 days before the event
  • Hand Deliveries of accepted work:  information will be included upon notification (shipped by arrangement only)
  • Reception and Classical Concert: Please follow the flier for details and attend accordingly
  • On Exhibit: The following months through to the Member’s Art Show in the Fall
  • Removal and Artist picks up their work: Notification for pick up date and arrangements will be emailed


All entrants must be 18 and older.  All work should be from the last 3 years (Solo shows require majority).

Winter Entries –  Winter Solo Show: Members and non members eligible as the show dictates (membership is always given priority).  These entries must follow all guidelines but will be required to send additional pictures upon request, must have a full artist statement, and vitae.  There is no longer a deadline as solo shows will be accepted year round from entries based on a complete works and booked for available years.  Collaborations will be considered.

Spring Entries –  Yom HaShoah Open Art Show: Members and non members eligible as the show dictates (membership is given priority).

Fall Entries –  No theme -Members only


Subject Matter: Work is not limited to Biblical topics, but should be appropriate for families of all ages. Must be in line with the mission and vision of Baruch HaShem without conflict.  Baruch HaShem reserves the right to refuse artwork at time of intake should the work reflect differently or details reveal more than the submission photos, quality concerns,  appropriateness for the purpose of the show, conflict with Baruch HaShem, or any other reason the curator deems is necessary to refuse.

Fee: $15 for up to three submissions due at time of entry. As a non-profit, all fees will be contributed to the  Visual Art Ministry at Baruch HaShem.  Selected artists will have their work displayed with recognition and short artist’s statement for the duration of the show along with an artist’s reception.

Mediums: All mediums of artwork are considered. 3 D that can be installed or mounted to a wall will be considered. Mediums include Oil, Acrylic, Drawing Mediums, Water Media, Mixed Media, Collage, Hand Pulled Prints, Photography, Metals, Textiles, etc.  Hanging 3D may be considered based on space and installation concerns.

Finished Work: No size restrictions at this time, if there are no weight concerns and no installation issues. Work must be matted and framed with glass or glass quality (craft or plexi that bends is not accepted).  Canvas 1” or thicker wrapped sides (sides must be painted or framed). D-rings and wire required before intake or media that that is dimensional have adequate hanging system in place.

Sales: All work must remain in place until the show ends and art is removed. Any sales must be handled through the artist themselves. Any artwork sold must remain on display until the closing of the show. Should an artist desire to contribute a portion of their proceeds to the art ministry, that will be completed through the office or tithes and offerings notating art ministry.

Liabilities: Although Baruch HaShem will exercise due care in handling works accepted, neither Baruch HaShem nor employees or volunteers will be responsible for any loss or damage to any art work.

Artists are expected to insure their own artwork.

Baruch HaShem Liability Release for Intake of All Art

  • I understand Baruch HaShem may reject any piece of artwork upon delivery if artwork is deemed inappropriate, not in line with the mission or vision of Baruch HaShem, if the work reveals differences unseen through the online processing, or for any reason Baruch HaShem finds a piece unacceptable without explanation.

  • I am the sole artist of work(s) submitted to Baruch HaShem Yom HaShoah Art Show. While I know Baruch HaShem is desiring to protect my work, I understand Baruch HaShem is and will not be responsible for any damages or loss of work. Any liability is my own responsibility, including insurance.

  • I understand my responsibility is to pick up work based on email request scheduled end of Summer/early Fall. Any works not picked up are not the responsibility of Baruch HaShem. If pick up date or time is altered, an email will be sent and the same responsibility will still apply.

  • I understand Baruch HaShem will not be selling any artwork. Should I desire to sell my art, it will be of my own negotiation and time, with the the understanding the artwork will remain in place until the end of the show. If a piece of artwork becomes part of such negotiations, the negotiation will not be finalized during the Baruch HaShem Yom HaShoah Art Show.

  • Artwork will only be released to myself as the artist or designated person listed below. I understand any proceeds, from the sale – I desire to go to Baruch HaShem will be made as a donation.
