Printable Copy: Click Here

2 teaspoons dried minced onion

½ teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon cornstarch

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon dried oregano leaves

½ teaspoon ground cumin

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl until evenly distributed. Store mixture in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Use within 6 months. Makes about 2 tablespoons.

To make taco filling:

1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef

½ cup water

2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Brown 1-½ lbs. ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease. Add water and Taco Seasoning Mix. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Makes filling for 8 to 10 tacos.

times 24:

1 cup dried minced onion

1/8  cup sea salt

½ cup chili powder

¼ cup corn starch

¼ cup crushed red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons garlic powder

2 tablespoons dried oregano leaves

¼ cup ground cumin

I keep this made up at all times and use it whenever a recipe calls for taco seasoning. Just use 2 tablespoons of seasoning for every 1-1/2 pounds of meat. It’s great with chicken, turkey, beans, and beef. It will even give your soups a little zip!
