40-Day Prayer and Fasting Ends

We invite you to join us in a 40-day fast combined with prayer in preparation for our transition in leadership, when Rabbi Marty will finish passing the baton to Rabbi Ari.

The fast began Sunday, August 27, and will continue until Friday, October 13 (the day before Transition Day). Shabbats and Rosh HaShanah will not be included in the count, as these days are designated for rejoicing and feasting. Friday, September 29 and Sunday, October 1 will not be included as fast days because everyone will be fasting on September 30 for Yom Kippur.

If you can join us, please sign up via the following link for at least one day of fasting, and perhaps even one day per week if you are able, over the next seven weeks. Feel free to pass the information on to anyone else you know who would like to join us in this concerted time of intercession.

Sign up here: (Note: The names of individual participants will be hidden.) On the first page, when it mentions “your vote”, this is referring to the dates you select to fast.

As you fast, please be encouraged by the following Scriptures:

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Yeshua, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the execution stake, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  Hebrews 12:1-3

Perfect love casts out all fear.
1 John 4:18

Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Thank you so much for taking the time to intercede on behalf of Rabbi Ari, Rabbi Marty, and the whole congregation of Baruch HaShem. We hope that this special time of prayer and fasting will be as sweet and beneficial for you as it is for those being prayed for.
